LCC ONLINE
There are many online chess players at the club and an awful lot of activity. The best place to go depends on whether you prefer Lichess, chess.com, Chess24, or one of the many alternatives.
Then it depends if you like Blitz (5-minute), Rapid (10-minute), or something at a longer time limit. Most online chess is fairly fast and hectic. This page mainly concerns online play at a maximum time limit of 10 minutes each. If you want a longer game, you are better off coming down to the club. People often do their own thing online, but here's what we have organised. The 4NCL (4 Nations Chess League) is mostly for stronger, more experienced players. Strictly speaking, you would be playing for WHITE ROSE in the 4NCL. Rupert Jones co-manages them as well as us and is always looking for keen new players. You have to be master class to get in the first team, but there's room for everyone else in the lower divisions. E: [email protected] |
